- Nestled among the heather clad hills of Donegal their is a townland called Finntown. There is a lake near to this little town and in the centre of this lake there is a little island. The natives say that in this island their is a large rock and that under this rock that their is a large pot of gold hidden.
The story is told that when the fairies were leaving that (when) they left this pot of gold buried there, and from that time onward no person has tried to seek this treasure.- Collector
