Mc Doal placed a tombstone over his mortal remains but in a short time the stone became like the surrounding clay, another stone was placed in position but the same fate overtook it. However, she was determined to perpetuate the memory of her consort and changed the date of her beloved’s departure to the following year. The plan succeeded and the third stone is still to be seen in the old graveyard in Killybegs.
The Mc Doal family resided in the White House, Killybegs
