    in the sky and there appears to be a halo of light surrounding it, this is a sign of frost. Usually with the moon in this condition there are a great many stars in the sky.
    When coming down the main street one often hears snatches of a conversation such as wind coming up the street not a good sign it will be wet tomorrow as sure as my name is "yes: and often very often this prophecy comes true.
    When a thick black bank of cloud comes over a big bright yellow sun covering up the lovely rays of sunshine which make the lovely things of nature seem as magnificent this is a sure sign of rain.
    among all the beauties of the sky, the rainbow ought to be given the first place of honour But like all others there is a prophecy. "a rainbow at night is a sailors delight. a rainbow in the morning is a sailor's warning".
