There is a path called the "Cob Road" in the townland of Rockhill in the land which belongs to Robert Algeo. This path is a short-cut to Port-na-blagh, and it is not much in use now-a-days. It was made during the Famine and the payment the workers got was potatoes called "Cobs".
The "shore road" leading to Port-na-blagh was also made during the Famine period. - You are not logged in, but you are welcome to contribute a transcription anonymously.
