  1. 1. On St Bridget's night if you tie a rush round your head you will not have a sore head during the twelve months.
    2. A mother and father of the same name can cure the mumps.
    3. If you have warts on your hands a cure for them is to rub a snail on the warts. Then hang the snail on a bush. When the snail dies and withers the warts will disappear.
    4. Another cure is to slice a potato in ten parts. Rub each parts on the warts leave them at a cross road.
    5. Sweet milk is a cure for the "heart burn".
    6. To give three bites to arc sleibhe is a cure for the toothache.
    7. If water stays in a rock in summer you can cure warts by washing your hands in it the warts will go away.
    8. There was a well in Cnoc Na Toige
    It is a cure for sore eyes if you wash your eyes in it.
    9. Willie Kennedy Cashelreagh has a cure for the sheelishan. He lifts the palate of your throat with pepper and salt.
