    lodged in our house Joe Doherty's of Tullydish.
    While at school my father always used slates and slate-pencils and the subjects taught were:- Reading, Writing, Arithmetic and Spellings.
    The land for the school was given gratis by Robert J. Quigley, Tullydish, and he also gave a bank of turf beside the school which was cut and won each year by the children.
    In the year 1900 Master Logue left the school and Master J. Boyle came and he taught for 25 years and went to Kinnego.
    He was replaced by Mrs. E. Irvine who remained until 1931.
