It often grows to a height of sex feet and a white flower grows upon it. It would kill man or beast, but no beast eats it on acount of its ugly taste and smell. Grlorán is a good food for pigs in Summer-time.

    "........ The St. Patrick's leaf grows only on very hard dry ground. It is very good for curing a wound if it is tied around it with a piece of cloth. The hemlock grows in an old ditch.
