    Fire
    When there is a blue light in the fire it is the sign of rain. When the fire is dull it is the sign of rain.

    When the midges are very thick it is a sign of rain.
    Curlews
    When the curlews are screeching it is a sign of rain.
    Sheep
    If a flock of sheep is standing steady facing the same direction it is the sign of bad weather. When sheep run to the water it is the sign of rain.
