If a person wants to keep away the "flu" he should drink 1 pt of parafin oil every day. Burn
The cure for a burn in our district is to lick a lizard. Then lick the burn and it will be cured. Ringworm
The seventh son or the seventh daughter of a family is supposed to be able to cure ringworm. If a certain kind of a lizard is left on the hand of a child and let die there that child will be able to cure ringworm by leaving his or her hand on the ringworm. Thrush
There is a great cure for thrush in our district. A gander should be kept in for three nights in succession. After the three nights it should be let breath into the mouth of the child for a few minutes, then the thrush will wear away.Chicken Pock
A strong man should hold the legs of an ass and the person with the chicken pock should crawl under the ass. If this is done the child will be cured.(continues on next page)- Collector
