There was an old man living in Carrion and he had a cow which gave great milk.

There was an old man living in Carrion and he had a cow which gave great milk. When ever the neighbours would be short of milk they would go to him for it and what ever kind of a vessel they would bring the cow would fill it with milk. When the old man was dying he left the cow to his neighbours and told them to mind and feed her well. The neighbours praised her well. One old lady heard all this praise and she said that she would bring a vessel that she could not fill so she brought a sive. She stayed milking her until she milked blood. Then the cow died and where she died a well sprang up and it flowed in seven directions and in every stream there is a different water and it is supposed that there is a cure in every stream - in one of the streams there is a cure for sore eyes.
