  1. There was a landlord in this place named Clanbrock,. He never lived around here he always lived at Ballinalsoe. There were no tenants evicted around here at all. He used to give them timber to build their houses. They tithes used to be gothered at Tom Lawlor's house. It was Mr Earles that used to gather them. He was the landlords steward. It was money the people used to give them and they never went against giving it. There was no one evicted during Clanbrock around here. He gave them reduction on the rent.
