    In the village of Moate there stands the ruins of what was once a snug little dwelling-house.

    In the village of Moate there stands the ruins of what was once a snug little dwelling-house. We are not sure of the occupants of this old house but people believe that an old grey-haired man once dwelt there.
    One morning he was found dead in his bed by some work-men who were engaged in turf-cutting in the bog behind the house.
    I heard a story about a ghost that was seen by a man who was returning from work late one night.
