    Local Sayings
    When a person is very wet people around here say:
    "You are as wet as a drowned rat."
    If a person wants to say you are very clean he or she says: "You are as white as snow."
    If a person wants to say you are very black he says: "You are as black as the pot."
    If a person wants to say that a thing is very dry he or she says: "It is as dry as a birds bird's nest."
    When a person is saying that the weather is very cold he says: "It is as cold as ice."
    When a person is saying you are very clean he says: "You are as clean as a new pin."
    When a person is saying you are very warm he says: "You are as warm as a red poker."
    If a person wants to say you are ver quiet he says: "You are as quiet as a mouse."
    If a person wants to say you are very sick he says: "You are as sick as a dog."
    If a person wants to say you are very thin he says: "You are as thin as twine."
    If a person wants to say it is very cold he says: "It is so cold it would freeze the whiskers off a brass monkey."
    Some people when they are saying you are a bully say: "You are as thick as you look."
