  1. There are many old historic monuments and ornamented stones in this parish. The most important is a large stone which is situated in the townland of Fahavane, in the grounds of Mrs Stack a native of Kilflynn. Beneath this stone lies the body of Fionn Mac Cumhail. It is said that there is a little bottle of certain kind of oil buried with him. If anyone was brave enough to open his grave, get the oil and rub it to his body he would get alive again and would never again die. On this stone also there is the
