  1. Long ago (about one hundred years ago) there dwelt a giant in the boundary of Rathscannel and Ahannacrinagh. He was an awful height, and he was so tall the people used to call him. "Sunlight Bobby".
    Every day this giant used to travel around and knock at every door. When he knew that anyone would not leave him in, he began to play tricks on them. There dwelt at that time a woman in Rathscannel. She lived all alone in a little house on the side of a "boreen". This giant used to make her, make big cakes of bread for him.
