    The kind of bread they used long ago was oaten meal bread, rye bread, and barley bread.

    The kind of bread they used long ago was oaten meal bread, rye bread, and barley bread. The barley was growing around in the district and the rye also. They used a quern for grinding the grain. It was a stone with a hole in the middle of it and according as they used want as much that would make a cake for them they used crush it.
    They used make potato cakes with boiled potatoes and a grain of flour and a pinch of salt and a bit of butter. They stampy was made of grated potatoes and flour and cream and then it was put baking in a griddle and it
