  1. John Sullivan known locally as Sesínín Tarog Dev was a poet though he was illiterate. He was in the Kerry Militia and he was called up the time of the Great European War. He died in Flanders in 1925 from the effects of the War as he never returned to Ireland after.
    His father's name was [?] Dev Sullivan. He fell sick one time before Seán went to the War. Seán wanted his father to make his will and leave the bit of land which was about two acres to him. [?] spoke from his bed and said;
    You got drunk in Currens
    And for me, you did not care
    But before I'd give you up my place
    I'd leave it to the birds of the air
    Seán replied
    Didn't I bring you Dr. Horan
    When you were very bad
    And also Fr.McCarthy
    To prepare you for your God.
    I'll take the will down to Seán [?]
    And He'll write it out grand
    By God you won't says Old [?] [?]
    For he's too shaky in the hand
    It might go before a barrister
