    There was once a man in Tralee who gambled until one night he had no money left. On his way home he met the devil at a place south of Tralee called Ballyard.

    There was once a man in Tralee who gambled until one night he had no money left. On his way home he met the devil at a place south of Tralee called Ballyard. The devil gave him a purse full of money and said that thirteen years from that day he would meet him in the same place and take him to hell.
    The man agreed to this and took the purse which he could never empty. He went to confession and told the priest what happened. The priest said he would help him.
    So when the day came that he was to meet the devil the priest
