  1. Bread-making
    Long ago people used to make their bread out of home grown wheat. They made several kinds such as Stampy, Flag, oatmeal, potato and wheaten cake
    Stampy:-
    Potatoes were grated and squeezed and baked with flour. The juice that was squezed out of the potatoes was used to make starch.
    Potato Cake:-
    Boiled potatoes mixed with flour and baked on a griddle.
    Oatenmeal Cake:-
    Was made with oatmeal mixed with water and set before a fire supported by three sticks.
    Griddle Bread:-
    Was baked over a fire on a flat round piece of iron.
