  1. There is supposed to be a treasure hidden in Carrigeen rath and another on Irongrange hill. It was in the little house just at the top of the hill.
    There was a crock of gold left up on a shelf. Its value was supposed to be about twenty seven thousand pounds. Its weight was supposed to be about a hundred weight. A horse was supposed to be guarding it. Anyone who went in to the house, the horse hit him a kick and killed him. A little stream ran down through it out under the walls and down into the river. The horse used to drink the water and he lived on it. It was said that a man went
