  1. There was a very strong man in Ballyraggan about sixty years ago. He was a great fighter. He was born in Ballyraggan and lived there until he died. He was also buried in Ballyraggan. His name was O Kelly.
    There was no man in Ballyraggan was able to fight him, He was famous at throwing weights and jumping. He won many prizes at weight throwing and boxing.
    People came over from England and other countries to fight him. And no one of them was able to match him. He was sixteen stone weight. He was eighty years old when he died. Every one was very sorry for him because he gave the townlands a very good name
