  1. A lot of boys make catapults for killing blackbirds and they make slings too. Neither of these two things is safe to use.
    Catapults are made out of a fork and rubber and a piece of leather. The fork is made out of a stick. The rubber is got from a motor tube.
    It is cut into two long thin strips. The leather is cut square. and two holes are put at the sides.
    The rubber is tied to each grain of the fork The leather is tied to the other ends of the rubber.
