    You men of Castledermot now listen to my song,
    To have our Christmas box put down,
    You know it was very wrong.
    There was big Thomas Nolan,
    That turk from Hobards town,
    He was the first that signed his name,
    To get our Christmas box put down.
    Then there is Kevin Barry,
    A man you all do know,
    Engelow will have his place,
    In another month or so.
    Bat luck to him the Rathvilly scamp
    He's a disgrace to our little isle,
    And if he has any Christmas box
    He can give it to Stoney Doyle
    Then there is Samuel Wright,
    A trader of our town,
