Port-na-Blagh. They were buried in the pauper's grave in Clondahorkey grave yard. It was some time before the captain's body was got, so there was a reward of £5 for the body. There were two men who lived near the coast, Day and night they were watching for the captain. One stormy morning one of the men saw an object floating off the pier at Port-na-Blagh. Thinking it was the captain and that he would have the reward for himself he was very disappointed when suddenly the other man appeared. He said "God there is the captain". In jumped the other man to the raging waves and caught him by the whisker and to their amazement it was a big Billy goat. The other man shouted, "Dam ye did ye let him go. Only for a (neighbouurs) neighbour man who was gathering lathach they would have been drowned.
Parland Johnston alone save four men from drowning.
