- One time Paddy the Englishman Paddy the Irishman and Paddy the Scotchman lived together in a house. One night when the other two were asleep he got up and went away. After a long time they found out that he had gone to China. When he was in China he got a shop made by some men. When the shop was made he got a man to paint the name over the door in Chinese language and when he was finished he told him he would pay him when he got money.No one ever came into the shop to buy anything. Every day he went to the door and saw a lot of people going up and down the street but no one ever came in and they would look up at the name and laugh. One day a man came in and told him the meaning of the name. "This is what was written" Don't buy anything in this shop because the shopkeeper is only a big cheat.
