  2. There are different ways in which cures are made. Those cures came down from the old people and are still in use in county districts.
    There are many people round this district who have cures for different ailments. Ms. McHugh of Ballinabul has the cure of the mumps. This cure is very successful as each child who went to her for the cure was better in a short time afterwards. Eddy Quinn of Morragh has the cure of the mumps . A woman or girl whose father and mother are both of the same name can make the cure of the mumps by leading the person to the three maitin waters saying, "In the Name of the Father and of the Son, and of
