- I have a churn at home. It is nine years of age. It is on a stand and is called an "end over end" churn. My mother churns the milk and if strangers come into the house they give the handle a few twists so that they would not bring the butter.
The churning is done by hand and is done in a twisting manner. It takes about one hour to churn. We churn three times a week in Summer and twice a week in Winter.(continues on next page)- Collector
