    In yet another place when the butter didnt make its appearance - the blame was put on a little old woman - now dead. She was supposed to be a witch. And to have the power of changing herself into a hare. One day a hare was seen prowling round. They shot at it with a "crooked" sixpence and the hare left a trail of blood. This trail led to the old woman's house and she was found inside with her hand bandaged.
