  1. The house of Mr. John D. Flannery in Castle St, Nenagh was burned in the year 1922. The Black and Tans burned it, but no lives were lost. The people had fled for safety when they heard that it was going to be burned.
    The house of Mr. James Nolan, at the corner of Castle Street opposite O'Brien's Hotel was burned down during the time of the trouble in Nenagh. It was also burned by the Black and Tans but no lives were lost. Miss Harty is living there now.
