  1. There were people living about three miles from Nenagh who used to make butter. One day they could get no milk but thick froth like whey. This went on for a good while until the man of the house heard that if he got some part of the person's plough of whom they had their suspicions and to put it into the fire.
    He did so and sometime after he saw the woman whom he got the plough from coming into the yard and throwing herself into the sink lock in the yard. Some short time after they began to get butter again.
    There was once a man who had a cow which was a very good milker. After a time he saw that she was not
