    Groundsel will grow almost anywhere, it is green with small hard yellow tops on it. Wild birds eat it and people gather it for canaries. It acts as a tonic for them.
    Fresh young spring nettles are put down in a pot and boiled like cabbage. It is very hard to eat as it is very bitter. They are supposed to give good blood to a person with poor blood.
    Farmers believe that if preshaugh grows in the corn, it is a sign the corn will never grow and wherever nettles frequent the land is good.
    The Arigmony grows on hedgbanks, it has long spiky yellow
