    of the "shough". A few weeks after the farmer sets the potatoes he moulds them. During the Summer he weeds the potatoes if they need it. In Autumn the farmer digs the potatoes and puts the big potatoes into a pit and he puts the small ones (pohreens) into a pit for themselves. The "pohreens" are given to the fowl and to the pigs. The big potatoes are sold at the market and some are kept for seed the next year.
