- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)they went to the lough about 1230 at night as they had to pass through Casserleys and Duignans' land and they didn't want to be seen. Well they got to the lough, lifted the stone and hung it on the pin of the stradale with a rope, and hung another stone on the other straddle pin to balance it. They started off and when they were going up from the lough along a quick, they heard a great crowd of people coming from the direction of Casserleys. They stopped the ass and lay down behind the quick to let them pass. The crowd came down along the other side of the quick and there was terrible talk going on but they couldn't know a word that was said. It was like a crowd coming from a football of a Sunday evening. They thought that the Casserleys had seen them and were playing a trick on them. After a time the crowd passed and went in the direction of the lake. When all was quiet they got up and started the ass again. They hadn't gone more than a few yards when the crowd started to come again, and this time they came down the field they were in. They passed within a few feet of where they were (talking very loudly)(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
