They make some of the articles themselves or they buy them in Dublin or other towns. Sometimes people buy from them. Most of the tramps just go around the houses begging for food or money. They prefer to get money.
Most of the tramps stay a night or two in the town. When they come visit families they generally stay a week or two. Those who come in families or bands sleep in caravans or under a cart or in a field on the outskirts of the town.
