    milk. My father's grandfather died of the fever and his sister died of hunger. The year after they had few potatoes to sow and these were small. A good many people died to the famine and fever. The people could not keep carrying the bodies quickly enough to the grave yard. At night the rumbling of carts could be heard bringing dead bodies to the grave yard. The people that were living went away to other countries for fear of the famine.
