    Chickweed.
    Chickweed is used for boils. It is boiled in potatoes and when boiled the juice is added to a naggin of paraffin oil. The boil or boils are washed with this mixture. Chickweed destroys crops especially cabbage and turnips.
    Ragwort.
    The ragwort is injurious to crops. Sometimes the roots of them are boiled with potatoes and given to ducks when they are young and weak.
    Nettles.
    Nettles are used for curing measles. The roots are boiled in milk and given to the patient. The nettles are used for feeding pigs and hens when the potatoes are scarce.
