    The first of November is All Saints' day. On the night before the boys be ducking for apples and pennies. Some of the boys go kicking cabbage on that night.
    The twenty fifth of December is Christmas day. On the night previous all the rooms be lighted. Some people say Our Lord and the Blessed Virgin go around on that night.
