- (continued from previous page)with a hollow in it. This hollow is called the "Pedlar's hollow" because long ago some robbers killed an old pedlar to get his money. Then they buried him in the field below this hollow. This place never gets anything else but the "Pedlar's Hollow".
- We have a great many animals on our farm such as - cows, horses, pigs, sheep and calves.
We have five cows at home and their names are - "The Harris Cow", "Nathaniel's cow", "The cow that stands at the wall", "The Mc. Lean cow", and "The wee cow". "The Harris cow" got her name because she was bought from a man named Harris. "Nathaniel's cow" got her name because a man named Nathaniel Mc.
