curlews when they came calling it is said they are calling for rain.It is said that when a cat begins to wash her face it is a sign of rain and when a dog begins (to wash her face) to eat grass that is a sign of rain. If the smoke of a chimney goes up straight it is a sign of rain, good weather. - 1. If the moons wears a golden crown it is a sign of a storm.2.
