    They mourn with us our Boyle O'Reilly dead.
    Calm be thy sleep, poor Ireland's gifted son
    Nor thee the only one that lies afar
    On freedom's soil; full many a cherished one
    Rests there, Our bold young patriot, Meagher,
    And Addis Emmet, light of bench and bar,
    Have found their graves there, where for peace they fled;
    And Fanny Parnell, last and brightest star,
    'Mong Erin's daughters, in that land lies dead.
    Long shall we mourn thee, prematurely called,
    Compatriots song shall keep they memory green,
