  1. The Local Patron Saint
    24 - 1 - '38
The saint traditionally connected with the district of Clonfert is St. Brendan. There is a church which was built by St. Brendan in use there yet. It is a Protestant church now.
There is a well named after saint Brendan in Rogerstown about four miles from my house. St. Brendan founded a monastery in Clonfert. St. Brendan was buried in Clonfert. There are no special prayers said to him.
The saints day is not observed as a holiday in the Parish.
