    7 - 7 -'38
    When the wind is from the west most rain comes to my district. When there is going to be rain the sky gets dark and there is usually a circle around the moon, and the stars do not come out. The plovers and the seagulls fly inland when there is going to be rain and the sheep gather into a heap in the shelter.
    When a dog eats grass it is a great sign of rain and the cat licks his paws.
    The hills seem near when it is going to rain. Thunder is a sign that the weather is to take up. The crickets sing when there is going to be rain.
