    12 - 12 - '38
    These are some prayers that my mother taught me.
    "As I lie down on my right side,
    I pray to God to be my guide,
    Matthew, Mark, Luke and John,
    Bless the bed that I lie on,
    There are four corners on my bed,
    Four angels there are spread,
    If I die before I wake,
    I pray to God my soul to take.
    This prayer is to be said when going to bed at night.

    "Infant Jesus meek and mild,
    Look on me a little child,
    Pity mine and pity me,
    And suffer me to come to thee".
