Then they are heaped in the field and covered with rushes and clay, and are left there for the Winter. There are different classes of potatoes. The early ones are - Early-Roses, Kerr's-Pink, and British Queens - Champions, Arran-Banners, Blacksmiths and several others. Champions are the best potatoes for table use
