The robins do not migrate, but the swallows and other birds go away in the month of October. The swallows gather on a roof and then they go away together. Crows usually build on top of a very high tree. The blackbird and the thrush build their nests in a hedge. The wren, the goldfinch, the white winged sparrow, the linnet, and the yellow hammer also build their nests in a hedge. A robin builds in a dry ditch or a mossy bank. The swallow builds on the rafters of a shed. The sparrow builds her nest in the eave of - house. The tom-tit builds in a hole in a wall. The colour of the blackbirds(continues on next page)
