    Dear Stack, Thanks for your kindly thought, In sending me the trout you caught...

    Dear Stack,
    Thanks for your kindly thought,
    In sending me the trout you caught,
    In dear old Kerry - famed in story
    For fishing lies and battles gory;
    This large and gorgeous specimen
    Will be preserved and shown up when
    Our anglers meet to tell their tales,
    Of mighty catches large as whales;
    I'll have it labelled " caught by Stack; "
    In muddy water - and a sack,
    Helped by a stone or two of lime,
    In fact a piscatorial crime,
    Then posted thoughtfully to me,
