    and after that folded into balls and sent to the weaver to be woven into cloth. The cloth is used to make shirts, tablecloths, sheets, towels, etc. The tow must be carded and made into rolls and spun similarly to the flax. The thread of tow is used to make coarse sheets and quilts.
