    entrance. Seeing those men armed with stout sticks, but who were still six hundred yards from the hill, he snatched up the great stone at the door and fired it with all his might towards the enemy. This stone can be seen standing in a field a distance from the hill. It is standing about two hundred yards at the south of Lawlor's house. It is said that afterwards some men were trying to take him after them. There was a soft place in the bog and he sank in it.
