    the year if you had enough cream. Very rarely it is made during the winter. During the summer it is made alway when the cream is plenty. It was a great job to keep the cream from turning sour during the summer. It was no trouble to keep it from turning sour during the winter. It always keeps sweet during the winter for it is cold.
    It is with the two hands the churn is worked and not with the feet. Long ago the country was full of dairies and there was no such thing as creameries. The people had to make their butter at home. When people would go in to houses after the churn being made they would get butter milk to drink and they would get a taste of the butter only for it was too scarce. There was an old story told to me by my Grandmother that
