  1. The Castle at Camp
There is an old ruin in Mr Ó Sullivan's field at Camp. Some of the walls were standing about twenty five years ago. It was formerly held by Desmonds army. It was captured and knocked down by the British army when they were marching to attack the Spanish army at Ventry about the year 1580.
    The Oratory at Killelton
There is also a very interesting ruin at Killelton. It is an old Abbey.
It was founded by St Elton and was probably the first Chapel in this Parish. A good part of the walls are still standing. St Elton came from Brandon mountain where he previously resided with St Brendon.
